Onto work day #4! Today’s projects/activities included: Timberline (and they finished the ongoing project!!), Don’s, Winter Park Christian Church, Hospitality, Horseback Riding, and Fly Fishing. Here is a little bit about two of those work projects, through the words of the students.
Don’s: We went to the home of an older couple, who has had a group of the Wooddale kids on Project Colorado helping out at their house every year for the past 17 years. We split into three groups: one group used a wood splitter, the other one used a wheelbarrow to take down the split wood to the pile, and the last group stacked the wood. They had a whole spread of snacks for us and some drinks as well. They had two llamas named Noah and Moses, a donkey named Ruby, and three dogs named Blue, Max, and Ash. At the end they gave us all ice cream and asked us what are favorite verse was and why. It was a great day! – Lydia Beaver (Love you Mom and Dad!)

Timberline: Throughout the week we have been building a new bench at timberline, so today we started out by working on the bench. A few of us worked on that while others went to haul some wood for a couple who lives close by. After a few hours, we completed the bench and took a break to eat some grilled cheese and spend time with the Lord 😎. Once we finished our time alone, we got back together and headed back to the couple just down the road. We worked together and spent some time clearing their yard of wood (which they generously donated to Timberline). In the end we got a lot done, and had a great time doing it. – Marin L

Tomorrow will be another great day! Over half of our group will be going on the Advanced Hike tomorrow, summiting Byers Peak. They will be leaving bright and early at 6:45am. Prayers for stamina, health, and perseverance for all students and leaders going on the hike tomorrow!
And without further ado, more pictures ❤️
