Whitewater rafting day!! We loaded up the bus right in the morning to start driving to Noah’s Ark in Buena Vista. It’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it for the rapids and the guides from Noah’s Ark.
It was a perfect day for rafting! 76 and sunny, the water the perfect height/speed. We were spread between six different boats. It’s a ten mile trip that takes about 2-3 hours. Since we’re moving the whole time and there’s a lot of water involved, we don’t have a ton of pictures! But we got a few before we got on the water. For dinner, students were given $15 and let loose in a nearby grocery store. There were many creative things purchased for dinner! Fried chicken, charcuterie boards, a half gallon of chocolate milk, a full cheesecake, etc.
Tomorrow we load up the bus with all our luggage and start the journey back home 😢 The students are sad to leave but excited to see you all! We will post an update when we get to the church in Grand Island, NE tomorrow with details about the celebration on Wednesday.
